Hit the target correctly with Brawl Stars Colt. This guide will help you learn how to aim his shots and how to use him properly!

What’s up guys, Itchy Monkey here dropping in for Wonderwall to do an in depth Brawl Stars Colt guide. Colt is a common brawler along with Shelly, Nita, Dynamike and El Primo.

Rarity Common
Type Ranged
HP 2800 | +70 per pin | +140 per badge | +210 medal bonus | +280 Crest Bonus
Attack 360 | +9 per pin | +18 per badge | +27 medal bonus | +36 Crest Bonus
Primary Attack Six Shooters – Colt will shot his 2 revolvers. Each revolver has multiple bullets.
Super: Bullet Train – Colt shoots a massive bullet burst that can tear everything.
Star Power: Slick Boots – This passive ability will make Colt run faster.

Colt has that flashy shooting style where he uses two guns. He can shoot in an almost straight line and can reload his gun around 3 seconds per bar. With 2800 HP and very narrow range, I would say Colt is for advanced to expert Brawl Stars players. You need to have good aim, timing and know when to back off. You don’t want him charging in the action as his HP is really squishy.

Brawl Stars Colt Analysis – Guide & Tips

At the early stages of the game, Brawl Stars players were underestimating Colt’s abilities. This is because of his semi-difficult gameplay. His range is acceptable but the width is pretty narrow. To be honest, I also had a difficult time figuring out his playstyle. I had a hard time combating El Primos and Shelly during matches as I got used to using Shelly, Nita, and Poco. Over time, I figured that his style is to keep your distance, poke around the bushes, and fall back. As of this writing, a lot of players are now brawling with Colt. Some are even upgraded! He is a Brawler of choice in some Heist and Bounty events.

Colt ranged shooting needs timing and accuracy. He can be a great support unit if you know how to deal with his meager HP and sharp shooting. His Six-Shooters can deal 360 damage per bullet and trust me, he won’t just fire just one bullet. He will definitely make his opponent eat lead if aimed properly. As you can see in the GIF above, iCHase was predicting that Nita’s movement by moving Colt’s aim a bit to the left. This will make sure that his bullets will pierce through Nita’s hide.
Colt’s super, Bullet Train, can deal 320 DMG per bullet but it can tear through walls and even that El Primo charging in. It is called a Bullet Train for a reason, you don’t want to be at the other end of that barrel unless you want to jump in front of a moving train. You can also use his super in Heist events. His linear shooting can break a portion of the wall surrounding the safe.

When to use Bullet Train

As his Bullet Train moves in a straight line, the best time to use it is when the opponent is trying to run or charge. Check out how iChase used it against a Primo. Even though this chunky tank is running away and covered by bushes and walls, he was able to connect and hit the target.

Colt’s Slick Boots

With this new addition to Colt’s clothing, the Steel Boots will make Colt run faster. This will make him dodge bullets and even Bo’s mine with ease. Aside from Crow, who still has the highest speed, Colt now ranks second. Will he now be a good player in Brawl Ball with this addition? It still depends on the team he’s with but it is definitely a plus.

Colt’s Range

Colt has the fourth longest range in the game. First is Ricochet, Brock, and then Piper. Their width is almost the same and all are pretty linear. Although the width is very narrow, you can hit a bunch of brawlers by moving Colt from left to right. This will spread his bullets to catch his targets.

Colt and Events

Colt in Bounty

With Colt as the fourth longest ranged brawler in the game, he is commonly used in Bounty. There are some Bounty maps with wide open spaces like the Star Gulch and Shooting Star Map. You can take advantage of Colt’s range while you bounce in and out of the mid area. Poke around and use his super whenever you can to win the game. Don’t over reach though, remember, he only has 700HP.

Colt in Heist

You can also find a bunch of Colt players in Heist events. With his straight up shooting and his super that can break down the wall around the safe, he is certainly one of the top choices in this event. On defense, he can aim directly at any incoming robbers. Just in case they reach the safe, he can shoot them with a barrage of bullets from two of his guns.

Colt in Smash & Grab

During Smash & Grab events, Colt is mainly a support unit. He can not hold those precious gems unless you have El Primo or Bull as your teammates keeping the opponent’s team busy. He can just aim, shoot, deal damage, and run. Keep him at the back end of the action and he’ll take care of all the ranged shooting.

Colt in Showdown

I tried using Colt in Showdown and it’s a bit challenging. Not as challenging as using Ricochet or Brock though. He can easily smash through crates as long as there are no other Brawlers prowling about. Once he get his fill of power-ups, go MIA and hide! Always keep your distance. You don’t want to go face to face with a Shelly or that big guy Primo.

Colt Updates:
